WE DEMONSTRATE EQUALITY IN OUR WORK

Exige has an extensive history of promoting equality in all of our work.
This is true for the clients we work with, the candidates we have placed and the types of searches we work.
Over the last year, 49% of all of our clients across Hiring Managers and HR Managers were women.
Similarly, 45% of all of our placements within the last year have been women.
Two of our most senior placements have included Emel Can as a Partner for Deloitte and Veronique McCarroll as a Partner at McKinsey.
Both of whom have now become clients.
Most recently, we worked with a world leading financial institution in Switzerland who had a team made up of only men.
As they were looking to grow this team and had received no female applications, they asked us to deliver a female-only shortlist.
We had no sense of tokenism or cliched stereotypes – gender was just another role requirement we had to meet.
But our first priority is always finding the most qualified candidate for the role.
For every candidate in our shortlist, we were 100% confident of their suitability for the position.
This is just one example of how we show our commitment to equality in our work.

We promote diversity internally
At Exige, we are an equal opportunities employer.
Because we don’t just want to promote diversity and equality for our clients…
We also want to do it for ourselves.
And we think we’ve done pretty well so far.
When we search for internal positions, we always strive to achieve a 50:50 male-to-female ratio on our longlist.
We then have a 3-stage interview process where we continue to monitor our diversity ratios.
After an initial conversation with our Office Manager, Samantha Smart, successful candidates have 2 meetings with our Director, Fiona Laitinen and our Managing Director, William Laitinen.
This rigorous approach to our internal recruitment identifies and minimises any unconscious biases that may be occurring.
And today 70% of our workforce is made up of women.
But we don’t stop there.
We have also put some time aside to conduct in-depth research into gender diversity in Swiss Computer Science degrees.

WE PROVIDE DIVERSITY INSIGHTS INTO OUR SEARCHES
We understand that market conditions can often restrict diversity, so we are committed to being transparent about our process. Through the Science of Recruitment, we are able to provide detailed diversity statistics as an add-on to our search service.
INSIGHT…
…into Gender Diversity
By keeping accurate and detailed records, we can show a breakdown of gender diversity at all stages of our search. This provides transparency into the recruitment process and a simple way of identifying where candidates are dropping out of the funnel.

INSIGHT…
…into Geographical Diversity
If country experience is important to your vacancy, we have got you covered. At every stage in our search process, you will see a geographical candidate comparison. This helps identify if further longlisting is needed and sets expectations for our shortlist.
